What is a Life and Business Coach?
Just like a sports coach that helps an individual or team identify a mental or physical goal or roadblock, and then creates a plan to reach that goal and overcome that roadblock, so does a Life and Business coach. A life and business coach identifies the goals and limiting beliefs an individual, business, or team has, and then works together with them to achieve their goals and eliminate mental or physical impediments.
Life and business coaching focuses on your present and future success. It is action oriented.
The most successful business people, world leaders, athletes, actors, actresses and everyday people have all worked with, or actively work with a coach currently. Many have done so for years.
Here are a few people you may know, who use a coach. Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, Metallica, Eric Schmidt-Chairman of Alphabet (former CEO of Google), Leonardo DiCaprio, Serena Williams, and Hugh Jackman to name a few.
Coaching is used by the most brave and strong. Policemen and Policewomen, your competition, soldiers, single mothers and fathers, the most depressed and anxiety ridden, unemployed, employed, the list is extensive- All use a coach to overcome any challenge, achieve peak performance, and live a life of fulfillment.
All these brave and successful people asked- “what do I do?” “How can I improve?”
Their definitive answer- “I can’t do it all, or alone, anymore.”
That depends on you, your circumstances and your level of commitment. Some clients use a coach for a few weeks, or one or two projects. Others use a coach for years in order to have someone right beside them to push, challenge and see them through life and business challenges.
Pricing can range from very cheap, to very expensive. I don’t recommend using a “discount” or “cheap” coach. The price you pay should depend on the level of expertise, training, and results. I’m not cheap. I do have compassionate pricing in some cases and for certain clients. Of course, my experience as a senior executive and leader, consultant, formally trained coach by an ICF accredited international institution, success as an entrepreneur and mentor, have put me in an enviable position with respect to pricing. The question really is..how much is your success, happiness, elimination of fears and fulfillment, life or business wise, worth?
100%.
No. Any coach you work with should have formal training at an International Coach Federation accredited institution, and have had personal coaching practice, experience and mentoring. Additionally, a coach should have requisite life, training and experience within their respected core practice niches. Like any profession, there are good and bad coaches.
All my clients, business, individuals, entrepreneurs, teams etc., that have worked their asses off and been open to the coaching tools and approach, have all achieved massive success and hit their goals. The clients that are lazy, have not.
